My Wish For You
It was two years ago when I was interviewed by this bubbly, cheerful, and optimistic person. I was looking for a work-from-home job. I already accepted a corporate job, but this time I will be working in an office. This made me hesitate, as I wanted to be closer to my daughter.
I have already submitted my requirements and am awaiting my training. I got an interview schedule, but I wasn’t able to attend the meeting. But still, the recruiter said that this person really wanted to meet. When I met her at the interview, it felt more like you were chatting with your friend than your employer.
She was asking more about what you think and what your values are, so it made me feel more at ease during the interview. I was elated when they told me I had been accepted for the job.
She trained me for a few months, but she got promoted really quickly. I was really happy with her and sad at the same time, but I knew that she deserved it. I am glad that I get to have a friend, even though I haven’t seen her in person.
As you can see, I have a few friends that I’m close with. And not very frequently am I surrounded by people. I always wanted to give her a gift, but I was not able to send it since we are miles apart. I wanted to give her something special and meaningful, and this is the only way I can think of.
To you who are reading this, you know how special you are to me; you are my boss, my mentor, and my friend. Although we haven't met in person yet, distance is never a barrier to us connecting deeply. I know that you are busier than ever, but you will still give me a moment of your time if I am able to achieve great things at work. You are always there to cheer me on, back me up, and support me every step of the way. This sweet person deserved an extravagant celebration. So, my wish for you is that you have more people you can touch and train, just like you did with me. You're a very humble, creative, lovely, and optimistic person, and everyone around you wants to be a part of your life.
Remember that I am always here to cheer you up and support you for as long as I can. I'll be your confidante, supporter, friend, and colleague. Drink my wine for me and celebrate it as if I were there with you. So instead, I'm sending these heartfelt thoughts to you and saying that I hope you enjoy your special day. Leave the work behind and have a blast with your dog and family. Don't worry, I know one day we'll get to celebrate this day together, but for now, I would like to give this to you. Cheers, and brighter days are yet to come.
